Her PC was only running a modern game, OBS studio, Twitch and Youtube, and her vtuber model and tracking programs for the last eleven hours. I can't understand why her PC suddenly died like that.

I'm not familiar with the technical aspect of streaming, but I assume that simulcasting should only stress your Internet connection. Don't see any reason to encode the stream twice for two different targets.

Yes, if you use the free obs-multi-rtmp OBS plugin as I recommend, it just takes whatever compressed video feed you're sending to your "main" streaming platform (YouTube in my case) and sends a copy of it to another streaming platform's intake server(s) (Twitter and Kick in my case) without re-encoding it. So it could be prohibitive on your bandwidth if you don't have a high-speed connection or are trying to do three 4K streams or something but it costs your CPU (or whatever else you're using for encoding) almost nothing. I think it's possible to configure it to re-encode the video with different settings than the "main" stream but for most people there won't be any need.

There are also restream middlemen services like restream.io which you stream to and they do the stream splitting and sending to different services on their side if you're limited on bandwidth, but they cost money and increase latency. Still, you're only encoding a single stream on your machine.
