million slash is janky as fuck, you have to pause 2 times on combo 3 and on the second pause there's a 50/50 chance you spammed too fast and the game just finishes combo 3 instead of triggering million slash.

The issue was that she was hitting the button, pausing, hitting the button, pausing, and then spamming the button as fast as she could. In fact, she was convinced that the problem was that she wasn't button mashing fast enough, and kept trying to do it faster. She had to stop because her finger was starting to hurt.

None of Agni and Rudra's combos require button mashing.

million slash requires to button mash during a combo 3 to activate, the wiki doesn't list it, you have to hit Y pause Y pause then tap Y on the third prompt but if you hit it too soon it just ends the combo.

I'm pretty sure she was just trying combo 3, but I didn't know that. It's been like 15 year since I played this game. I'll have to keep this in mind if I ever get around to replaying it.
