Oh hey, I recently got recommended their latest song, with no prior knowledge of the group. The production quality is quite impressive given it was entirely "filmed" in VRChat, I believe?



Did some research since, yeah, the members pull quite good numbers despite being virtually unknown in the Western sphere. Apparently Isegye Idol started off as a content project by Korean streamer Woowakgood in a similar vein to Gyari and VOMS, except the audition process sounds more like what you'd go through on those K-pop idol project shows. In fact, they do have an actual former K-pop idol in the group (Lilpa). Most if not all of the girls seem like decent singers though, judging by the few covers I've listened to:

Half of the girls were also independent streamers before making it into Isegye, so there's no shortage of experience in the group. All in all, sounds like a cool success story of an indie group doing well for themselves.

On that note, have any Western indie chuubas done anything similar with 3D live concerts made in VRChat like this one by Lilpa? I'm sure it takes a ton of work to edit but if you really want to do something akin to Hololive's 3D concerts this seems like the most feasible option outside of literally building a whole studio.

Been on 5-6 holo discords and the holopirates discord for over a year probably now and never had a single problem.
