I've never been able to get into big collabs like this... I watch several of the girls present here and yet I just don't find myself particularly enjoying the stream. They always seem to be pretty hyped by the participants though, so maybe it's just me.

And yet some VTubers will still find more copium to huff so they can convince themselves that Twitch doesn't have a bias against VTubers and is a reasonable alternative to YouTube.

Absolutely fair. Just seems likely that YouTube has some sort of magic that tracks the accounts and sees "huh these accounts subbed to xyz channel are still actively engaging with YouTube even if they aren't still clicking on that channel" which from a non-YouTube perspective seems much more in...

For me these seem more organic just because they were the go-to agencies for so long (still ongoing for Holo). People have confidence that when Hololive announces a new generation every talent will be the best of the best and therefore they're more likely to sub with 0 information on the channel...

Honest question: which agencies are you referring to? Outside of some of the big names like Hololive, the recent V4M gen had some of the highest debut sub counts I've seen. Hell, they debuted with more subs than some Phase talents like Runie have to this day even though Runie absolutely...
