I haven't researched this at all, just basing it on random posts I've seen here that I'm also not going to double check, but I seem to remember some Japanese were getting fed up with Niji's practices too.
Even before Doki's incident Niji was gaining a poor reputation. It just wasn't as well known.
That and like other people said, shitting out gens every two seconds so unless they're Vox tier no one can remember you.
If those are the reasons that seems reasonable. Mentioning how evil Nijisanji is all the time attracts a lot of attention and negativity that Doki seems pretty eager to move away from.
There's also a few knights isekaied to Los Santos and police officers called Ben Dover and Thai Ni Wang. You're never getting serious RP from that.
Hell, if they got robbed their audience would also have a hissy fit about the vulnerable women being threatened in a video game. Not sure why...
Aside from the rap incident and the five guys incident (which was caused by her roommate more then her), there hasn't really been any issues. She already has a manager to handle sponsorships and emails so not like she needs that either.
She only just got a new outfit, and seems perfectly happy being an indie. She's also mentioned that she doesn't do well with authority or being told what to do.

I can almost understand being upset about riggers tweaking art, seeing as editing a finished piece is a nono, but even that seemed a bit precious. Making a model is effectively a collaboration, it isn't finished art. Just let the rigger do what they need to do and chances are it'll be done...
As another creative, I fucking hate Twitter artists. I don't want to root for AI but I can hardly blame people not wanting to deal with them. Especially when most can't even stick to a deadline.
