I make fun of science and "I fucking love science!11!" for being wrong on just about everything. Then when some study says something I agree with, I pull out the "even retarded science(tm) recognizes this." I think it works okay for preserving my ego while still allowing me to be sufficiently annoying and intolerable.
edit: topical case in point - a study that indicates it might not even matter what you eat if you have the right gut bacteria:
