Just seeing this game again is reminding me of the absolute hatred I had for it for over half the time I played it lol. I kept tolerating it because the alliance I was in was a decent group of people I didn't wanna ditch. I hate played this garbage for like 2+ years hoping they would replace me in the alliance. I assure you it's as souless a cash grab as you're thinking and worse. The early game will never display just how obnoxious everything is for making a character even vaguely useful past mid game. Not accounting for most of them being absolute garbage unless you have the full "team up" bonus.
