Very surprised. Would make more sense to me to just move up to a presence at larger cons but I'll let fishman cook. Sadly for me it will probably be in Canada. Not sure how tough it is to travel there from the US nowadays.

I doubt it. This is ultimately a phase brand power play. If it goes well it will cement phases reputation as one of the biggest players on the en-side of the industry. A successful event also serves as leverage in negotiations opening the door for bigger sponsorships. As such, its not in Phases best interest to keep the event to just phase members as it creates needless risk. This is a big gamble as a shit event can hurt the Corp far more then it helps depending on what goes down.
