A Very Brief Thread Overview

This thread's rules are, obviously, TVA's rules. Common sense is expected of users and those who do not exhibit it will be made a laughingstock. Of course, though, the most important rule is that we hope you enjoy your stay, Tuesday through Saturday we'll see you again soon. A few hours past noon, drinking/watching/reacting/backseating, ISP problems and waiting, what the hell is Pippa eating?



As of the creation of this fourth thread iteration, this autistic community has filled up a total of 9,022 pages of specific Pippacentric discussion spanning 2.2 years. In this time, we have created several community projects for her, including an anniversary fan website, an entire cookbook, and are currently working on an in-progress Doom Mod. The thread is unified by their universal appreciation and care for Pippa - however that does not mean the users aren't also blunt with their more critical discussions, as constructive criticism is often discussed and levied. The thread very often delves into discussion of the community, sometimes drama, various affiliated people, and more. If it's within the Pippasphere of relevance, it is fair game to be discussed and analyzed here.

(Note: Important Pippa events such as big announcements, collabs, any future music videos, merchandise, particularly notable on-stream occurrences, and et cetera are still encouraged to be crossposted to the standalone Phase-Connect thread if and whenever relevant. However, large in-depth conversations revolving specifically around Pippa when not in the broader context of the company or coworkers should remain here.)

Why Should You Watch Pippa?

If you're here reading this, Pippa probably does not require an introduction and you are likely aware of all the basic information on things such as her VTuber Wiki Page and Wikitubia so I will not bother regurgitating it. However, courtesy of the Kamioshi Shill Thread, I shall present a more detailed pitch from a longtimer.

Leave behind any preconceptions you might have about Pippa. Memes and clips are fun, but they are often quite misleading. A casual viewer might have a vastly different impression of Pippa than what she’s actually like. While this is all part of the fun for her fans, non-viewers might have very different conclusions about Pippa, her thoughts and opinions than what she actually thinks or expresses.

The first thing to understand about Pippa is that she will bare her soul to you when she streams. Successes, failures, hopes and dreams, cringe-inducing stories, depressing moments, insecurities, and controversial and unpopular opinions, are all on the table. Pippa has only the most basic filter for her personal details and unspoken vtuber etiquette, and even the last one is more a suggestion than an ironclad rule. While vtubing has many talents that share from their personal life, it’s extremely hard to find someone else that shares as much, or as deeply as Pippa does.

Pippa’s raw openness and authenticity about her thoughts and feelings means her audience becomes extremely invested in her personal and professional growth. Whether it’s overcoming her fears to travel overseas to Japan, fixing up years of bad dental care, or her improvement as a singer, we understand how and why Pippa behaves the way that she does, and what she has to overcome to succeed and grow. It’s a deeply-personal idol story arc, instead starting with a young recluse hiding in her messy bedroom, struggling to fit in, dreaming about becoming a YouTube content creator. You can relate to someone like that. You can root for someone like that.

All of this makes her endearing, but that isn’t the same as being fun or entertaining. Fortunately, Pippa succeeds here too. It’s interesting to hear Pippa ramble on about her autistic fixations like plush dolls or her favourite shows, growing up addicted to the internet and MMO gaming, or have her give her honest opinion on various topics, even if you can’t be sure whether you’ll agree or disagree with her, even in the span of minutes on the same stream. Here, Pippa manages a neat trick, in that she will have opinions that you’ll think are completely, wildly wrong, and want to argue with her over, but they’re not so wrong that you’ll quit being a Pippa fan over. She’s not afraid to express an opinion on a complex or touchy subject either, even if her stream-of-consciousness speaking style does her no favours. Still, I’d much rather Pippa’s authentic, off-the-cuff takes than something rehearsed and safe.

So that’s Pippa. Honest and open to a fault, always willing to give her thoughts, and slowly trying to fix her flaws. She’s the autistic internet-addled little sister you never had and I think you’ll love her if you give her a try.

Spoiler: Clips

While it would be expected to show shorter clips of Pippa here, I think this does Pippa a disservice. As I said earlier before, I'd like to convey a more rounded version of Pippa here, and you get more of that with longer clips. Asking a prospective viewer to watch a livestream of several hours might be too much, so I think this is a good compromise - not as long as a livestream, but hopefully this helps present a more rounded view of Pippa.


Pippa gets bullied with akasupers and talks about her insecurities, feeling inadequate and dealing with depression.


A lot of people don't like, or want, vtubers who get "political", and there's a common misconception that Pippa is a political vtuber. I don't think she is, and this clip does a good job showing Pippa engaging with politically-adjacent content without getting political herself. There's a line, and Pippa doesn't quite cross it. Describes a lot of Pippa's content, really.


Pippa finds a lolcow in the wild and falls deep into the rabbithole. Pippa doesn't often get into lolcows, but when she does it's extremely entertaining.


Let's finish off with a terrible Pippa opinion, because I'm not conveying the authentic Pipkin Pippa experience if you don't get at least one Pippa opinion you heavily disagree with: Pippa tells you that Joker 2 is a good movie. 9.3 out of ten.

Our oshis are allowed to have dogshit opinions sometimes.

So, maybe this gets you more interested in Pippa. And if you do end up watching a Pippa livestream, come join the Pippa liveposting thread and talk about it. We argue over Pippa's opinions, occasionally make fun of Pippa or eachother, and call eachother slurs. You'll probably have fun here too if you end up watching Pippa.
