Parents were a blessing and I lived with them too. Honestly one of the only ways to buy now unless you have too many roommates. A good kitchen is a must for anyone who wants to be able to afford mortgage because prep saves so much.

I'm just over 30 and managed to buy a townhouse but the mortgage still blows because everything else is expensive and I got it right after rates dropped. Only recommend it to those who can really budget well.
