I remember playing a pirated version of this game when it came out. Since multiplayer in this case was almost non-existent the next best thing after completing the missions was to head to a fan website and install a mod that increased the enemy difficulty for player vs CPU matches. Fun times.

My realistic estimate for new Invaders would probably be March or April 2025 and Gen 4 would be 3-4 months...
