Where does the anime end btw? I'm guessing after she fucks up Bezewanst? Or does it go into Arc 3? It doesn't really get interesting until arc 4 imo, the nobles are the best part of the whole story.
Edit: Oh I thought by "Rat" you meant yourself.
Edit 2: Just checked, yes it does. Damn that's only just beginning the story... we still have the whole running the orphanage shit... the academy shit... the shit with the other duchies god damn this story is long.
Maybe I will give it a watch, the only thing I remember is watching episode 1 and not liking how... UGLY the anime is. I mean if you compare it to the art done for the LN it's night and day. The characters are REALLY well done and they don't shy away from making characters which look... somewhat european? instead of just anime characters. The clothes are also very well done and accurate to the historical inspiration.
Though I will give them props for giving it enough episodes to tell the story properly, instead of trying to cram one arc a season, or several arcs a season like other isekai shitfests.
Yeah, unfortunately, that can happen a lot. Designs get dumbed down to make animation easier. I remember it not being looking the best, but I have seen worse. Maybe the later seasons have a better budget. I haven't watched past season 1 since I don't watch anime often.
Ok I just tried to watch it... and Ferdinand's deep ass voice cringed the hell out me and I closed the tab. Jesus this feels like it was made in 2008...
I imaged him to have a voice similar to Mustang from FMA:B, not this DEEP BARITONE.
I guess this is why I forgot all about it, my brain hated it so much it erased the memory.
Honest question: how well written is the LN? I’ve tried to branch into LNs, but I find many of them have this “babies first book” syndrome with very simplistic prose. The only one I’ve read so far that didn’t have just walls of back and forth text was “Welcome to the NHK” and that was a self-contained novel.
I’ve seen the Bookworm anime, and holy shit it has promise, but it is completely bogged down by terrible visuals.
I’ve heard really great things about the world building and it’s just bizarre that you don’t actually get to see that in a visual format.
