I'd just be real sad we weren't getting the offkai streams this year. And I'd be more inclined to buy that she might have actually gone and pulled another weird smokescreen attempt like with the Japan trip, along with the annoyances that would involve.

If she's actually there, then pulling an extended smokescreen and not revealing it is probably extremely smart because you know damn well if she even vaguely implies she might actually be at the convention she'd probably end up doxed within the hour. High-profile convention, people would almost certainly attempt to scour footage and the like.

Except that a blatant absence of her, when she said during the pet review stream that she was was going to do the usual offkai streams, would do the exact same thing and cast a massive spotlight on it. With all the cameras and streams someone will have taken a picture of her or recorded her without either realizing and someone is going to be willing to dig through it all. If, big if, but if she went, I feel like doing the whole "two days of last second cancelations" thing again will only frustrate people after how she handled the pet stream, and cause people to not trust her. I assume that loss of trust would bother her more than a lot of other things.
