Even though it's spooky and would probably invite demons into her house, I would be curious about how an actual ouija board stream would go. My guess is Pippa would be a crying mess 30mins in, but I wonder how it'd go as an off collab with someone else.

I feel like half of her enjoyment was because she was there with friends. She was literally talking up San Francisco after going there with Muumi.
People always say stuff like that during short visits/vacations. She'd change her tune if she lived there.
If she lived there she would develop new fears that would equivalate to her current irrational fears.

Going from a third world hellhole to a first world, high trust, racially homogenous country is like night and day. Going from Japan back to the West Coast US is like traveling back to a lesser age. Of course, the tragedy is that she can never belong or fit in there and had to come back to hell eventually. Bad idea to have made this her first international trip because now there's no going to someplace like Paris.
The Japs are very nice because they know you're just a visitor. That doesn't change until they expect you're looking to stay, at which time the immune response kicks in, as it should. Literally everything outsiders like about Japan is inherently destroyed by the presence of outsiders.

She already knows why NYC had to deploy the National Guard with rifles to their trains. And there are more creeps on trains in the US (putting feral murdering apes aside). The relevant fact isn't that Japan had cars to get away from pervs, the relevant fact is that in Japan, you can get away from pervs whereas in the US the pervs also just kill you, and when they do, the press says "it was because she was racist".
Ok Pippa, I think we get it now.
One one hand, I wouldent wanna take the wind from her sails after just getting back from a trip she really enjoyed. But on the other, Japan would probably be worse for her kinda issues than just going back to the south given all the shit you have to deal with in person once you live there and their archaic business practices. And lastly, at least in the US she can alleviate her paranoia somewhat by having the right and means to defend herself, defending yourself in japan makes it just as likely you end up arrested.
